Hogwarts;; A History is a Harry Potter, Marauders Era community made for beginner Rpers and Advanced Rpers alike. Having just opened, there are still many cannons left up for grabs!

The year is 1976; the year that the first war really took hold of the wizarding world. Times are changing and the Lord Voldemort’s name is infamously followed by a trail of chaos and corpses. His followers are beginning to grow, either out of loyalty or fear; and his intentions are becoming increasingly more apparent with every waking day. With practically 10 murders each fortnight, it won’t be long before the muggle world begins to notice something and place blame for the unexplainable deaths.
Against the advice of the Ministry of Magic, and the Minister himself, Albus Dumbledore stands firm behind his decision for Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry to remain open. Several worried parents have already pulled their children out of enrollment, and as Dumbledore strives to keep the residents of the castle safe, Voldemort looks to penetrate that safety, and over throw the one threat that keeps him from reaching his ultimate rank of power.
Rumor of an opposing force rising up against the Dark Lord have taken hold of the schools main stream of gossip. Students have pitted against each other and Professor’s are left in confusion of whether enforce their hand for equality, or let their personal opinions allow the situation to unfold and run its course as it is in the world outside.
But what will happen when the students take it too far? When a simple dispute of opinions weakens the stronghold of the castle and the war outside bleeds into its walls? A real pull for recruitment has begun for both sides of the war. Voldemort has found Hogwarts weakness in its students, and the Order hopes to counteract his actions by doing the same.
No one knows who the leaders of each side are, or were they’re getting their information. But communication between the two parties outside the castle is significant and the war has begun.
In A Perfect World is a role-play forum dedicated to the Harry Potter Series, with an Alternate Universe (AU) flare.

In a perfect world, Lord Voldemort was defeated the night he tried to murder Lily, James, and Harry Potter. Sirius Black never set foot in Azkaban prison. Peter Pettigrew was found out as a Death Eater and convicted with several of the Dark Lord's other former followers.
In a perfect world, Regulus Black did not die alone in a cave trying to destroy part of Voldemort's soul. He and his brother worked out a few of their differences, despite their clashing personalities and opposing school houses.
In a perfect world, Neville Longbottom spent many afternoons visiting his grandmother with his parents. He did not start his first year at Hogwarts with Trevor the toad, but Trevor the owl instead.
In a perfect world, the Defense Against the Dark Arts position was rumored to be cursed for a little while, until Headmaster Dumbledore was able to keep a young man on for more than one year. Though the position continued to change hands more often than others, there was no obvious pattern to the flow of staff members through the well-worn office.
In A Perfect World...in an alternate universe...Harry Potter was a mildly well-known but all around average little boy.

Full Name: John Fletcher Nicknames: Fletch, "Little Dung" (Only those close to his father) Age: 15 Birthday: October 22nd Gender: Male Good or Evil: Neither really, leads more to Good though Blood Type: Pure Blood (unless there is proof the Dung is Half)
Personality Description: - One would not call John a bad guy, but at the same time we wouldn't say he is somebody you want your kids to look up to. He looks out for only one person, that is himself. He learned that at an early age from his father. But that wasn't the only thing he learned from him either.
John feels that he is quite better than most wizards, he feels he is the complete package. Unlike the other "rich" families, he acts as if he holds money though most of his gold comes from when he steals them from his classmates, not the good ones. He likes to see himself as a robin hood: and he is quite poor, so by keeping it for himself makes everything fine. He is quite proud of this always willing to tell his tales to many, especially to a few young cute girls: to him it doesn't matter what house they are in.
He is normally cool and collective, he has to: with the risks he takes he needs his head about him. He is quite cunning especially when he is trying to talk his way out of trouble; he often manages to get out of trouble and is taken by much of the faculty. Surprisingly he is rather clever, despite his ambitions he gets high marks in school.

History: Son of once Order member, Mundungus Fletcher. Eventually "Dung" retired from the world of crime and settled down in which he had his first son, John Fletcher. Oh everyone that he ended up with was none other than a witch from the Auror Headquarters.
Many felt that is how Mundungus got off the hook and his name became almost respectable. Though he always tried to teach her to become a criminal, with such a trait of being a Metamorphmagus (which she passed down to John). But she declined, so he knew his legacy would have to be passed on to his son eventually.
While by day his mother showed her son off as a promising young wizard by taking him to the Ministry with her while working, to even bringing him to bringing her to Molly Weasley (a good friend of hers) to the dismay of Mundungus.
By night, Dung brought his son to the lower levels of the wizarding world. Teaching him the art of stealth before mathimatics: evening buying him a invisibility bib (though he never found out where it was). John practically grew up in Hogsmeade, specifically The Hogs Head where Aberforth Dumbledore was a second father to him.
Appearance: He has chestnut brown hair with streaks of blond highlights throughout his head, gray eyes, he is also athletically built mainly from playing quidditch growing up: which gave him a light tan from practicing outside. Despite his hard work he is often looking quite relaxed.
He wears his ties loose and quite often his undershirt is hanging out of his robes. His hair is stylishly messy as his clothing is usually loose fitting. Not at all a posterboy on what the students look at Hogwarts. In fact, for everything he believes in and does he does not look the part. That is why the staff does come down on him, most think of it is just playful when he does; like a Fred and George almost. If only they knew.

Sample RP: (Been getting into rping again, here is one I just did a few moments ago before I found this place with a different character) "How could I have forgotten!"
John Black rushed past through the Leaky Cauldron, ignoring Tom's rants of "no yelling" as he made his way out of the back door toward the magical brick door.
"How could I have put this off so long," John said as he pulled out a gold watch and looked at the time. "Why didn't I bother getting my things earlier, I only have two hours before I am supposed to be at Kings Cross Station. Before I even pick up my things I have to stop at Gringotts with the key that this bloke gave me."
John seemed really confounded, quite out of the character for him. Well learning what he has within the past few days that he did; it wouldn't be out of the ordinary for anyone. Just as he worrying how long it would take to get into Gringotts an enormously large man with a little boy tapped on the wall and watched the doorway to the other door open.
He noticed that he dropped a sack full of galleons, John looked over at the bag and was amazed how much money was in there, it only just occured to him that they big bloke may have not have known he dropped his money as he tried to get it back to him.
"Excuse, sir" but there was no use. The man was in a rush, not even bothering looking back he said "sorry, lots to buy".
John seemed crestfallen, until he realized he was standing there with a sack of galleons and realized there was no need to go to Gringotts and all of a sudden he had time to kill. He pulled out his school list that was delivered.
"I believe I could do with a new owl."

Lavigna waited for the boy to put away his book and then led the way inside the castle following even more students who were heading in as the thunder storm became stronger.
Once inside, Lavigna watched the younger boy turn to her and she regarded him for some time more. She really had no idea what fates decided she should get talking to him and why, but she had and now there was one thing she noticed. She had no idea who the guy was. Aside from a Ravenclaw. "So, what's your name, then?" Lavigna asked.

Cruroar pondered her statement for a moment before finally nodding,"Right you are." he said accepting her hand up. He was quite suprised by the Slytherin girl's kindness. He shoved the book under his robe's to keep it from getting wet and went inside with her. He came to a stop when they were inside slowly turning to her.

Lavigna frowned and shook her head. "I don't mind you reading." she said. "It's not an odd place either, but with so many people streaming in at the moment-" She nodded her head towards the many students heading inside, as the sky had continued to darken with rain clouds. "There'd be more room to get inside if you weren't sitting here." Lavigna explained. "And it's about to rain anyway."
No sooner had she said that a thunder clap could be heard from above, making Lavigna startle ever so slightly which she covered up expertly and the tell-tale sound of small rain drops falling could be heard.
Lavigna sighed and regarded the boy. Rolling her eyes, she held out her hand to help him from the steps. "Let's get in." she suggested. "Or your book will get wet."
She didn't know why she even bothered, she really didn't. 'Well, guess I'm having a good day.' she thought to herself.

Cruroar looked at her oddly for a moment as if gaging her appearance,"Perhaps, but I got bored of the library a bit too stuffy." he glanced at her robes and saw the familiar Slytherin logo on her. He smiled thoughtfully, at least she hadn't hexed him.
"Though is it that odd that somebody is reading?" he said, he wanted to ask her why she cared, but he didn't want to be mean or anything.
